Introduction

In this class we will be reading several papers in the area of advanced networking. More specifically, we will be looking at papers in the following broad areas:

1. Current Internet Model and the design decisions that led to the current TCP/IP model
2. Autonomous systems and Border gateway protocol
3. Domain name system and how contemporary applications use it
4. Content Delivery Networks and Peer-to-Peer Networks
5. Software Defined Networking
6. Information Centric Networking

There is no textbook for this course. You will be reading assigned papers and create your own presentations. You will also do your own research, find and read related papers, articles, and RFCs.
